Computerworld names Rails #1 tech to know

Computerworld is pinning Rails as the #1 technology to know in 2007. As the only piece of software among group of hardware including NAND drives and new CPUs. About Rails they write:
Equal parts design philosophy and development environment, Rails offers developers a few key code-level advantages when constructing database-backed Web applications. One of the central tenets emphasizes using less code for application development by avoiding redundancy and following Rails conventions. This means increased performance and, ideally, decreased development times.
Way to go, Core Team!
Yeah, I know that I have chosen the best framework for my projects :-)
i have to say that i really like rails. But django is also a great framework…perhaps more OOP friendly.
That’s a nice change of pace to all of the doom-sayers out their saying Rails won’t last. I can’t see myself using anything else for web development these days. Keep up the good work!

You should be ashamed of yourselves! Shows how committed Rails and its proponents are to the opensource philosophy.
I took great delight in printing the Computerworld article re this & passing it to the Technology manager & our Chief architect – I had been learning RoR since June 2006 & in the past 3 months was predicting to all that this was an outstanding technology ready for prime time.
I have developed several prototype apps for the Technology manager that really got his attention. Just presented the most recent one a few hrs ago.
